Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty announces new leadership roles for Mediterranean and Africa

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), the industrial insurer of the Allianz Group, announces two new appointments for its Mediterranean & Africa Region (France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Africa). Marilyn Faugas has appointed been Regional Head of Distribution and Jean-Baptiste Regnier Regional Head of Underwriting Property. Both appointments will be effective October 1, 2020.

Marilyn Faugas (45) has been Head of Market Management for AGCS France since 2018. Before joining AGCS in 2010 as Key Account Manager, she worked for Marsh as Financial Lines Client Advisor and ACE Europe as Financial Lines Underwriter responsible for the Paris office (“Bureau de Paris”). Marilyn Faugas holds a master’s degree in insurance law from La Sorbonne University and is a graduate from Centre des Hautes Études d’Assurances (CHEA).

Jean-Baptiste Regnier (40) has been Head of Property for AGCS France since 2017. Previously, he was a Property Underwriting Team Leader for AGCS France and Practice Group Leader Heavy Industry & Manufacturing as well as Base Industries for the Mediterranean region.

Before joining AGCS as a Property Underwriter in 2011, he worked as a smart card Security Engineer at Gemalto for three years. He joined the insurance industry as a Property Underwriter for AXA Corporate Solutions followed by an experience as a Property Placement Broker with Marsh in Paris and London.

Jean-Baptiste Regnier holds an Engineering degree from ENSI and a master’s diploma in Risk Management from ENS.
