Homeowner shot while watching TV in Waterloo, KZN
A 28-year-old man was shot in the neck by an unknown suspect at his home on Imbewu Crescent in Waterloo this afternoon (Wednesday).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received a call at approximately 20:44 from residents in the area requesting assistance for the injured man.
Paramedics and Reaction Officers were dispatched to the location and on arrival were directed to a residence where the victim was located. He explained that he was watching TV with his family when a shot was fired through their living room window. The man was stabilized on the scene before being transported to the hospital by ambulance. A single 9mm cartridge was recovered at the scene.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been established at this stage.
