Hijackers arrested in Kuruman
Six car hijackers, three males and three females between the ages of 17 and 31 were arrested in Bankhara village outside Kuruman on Saturday, 8 January 2022 at about 09:25.
It is alleged that the male victim was getting out of his white VW Polo after visiting his friends when the suspects hit him with an unknown object on the chest and tied his hands and feet and put him in a bakkie and drove with him.
It is believed that between Kuruman and Kathu they threw him out of the vehicle.
He was assisted by an unknown person who took him to the Kuruman police station to report the incident.
Kuruman Crime Prevention unit members as well as Car Tracker personnel managed to successfully trace the stolen vehicle in Bankhara and the suspects were apprehended and arrested.
