Consumers earn R1 million in Naked Insurance referral rewards

Fully digital insurance platform, Naked, has announced that it has paid more than R1 million in client referral rewards, most of it on the back of exponential growth over the past year. This reflects its customers’ enthusiasm for sharing their experience with Naked with their friends and family, as well as the growing momentum behind fully digital insurance in South Africa.

“Naked’s referral fee is about thanking customers for sharing something they believe will add value to the lives of their friends or family. People wouldn’t typically talk about their insurer around the braai or on social media, so as part of our journey of introducing a new generation of insurance, we are proud of the exceptional growth we have achieved through positive word of mouth,” says Naked co-founder, Ernest North. “We encourage customers who recommend us to others to take up the opportunity to earn a bit of money. With referral fees of up to R1000, it can be a nice way to earn extra cash for doing something you were going to do in any case.”

All you need to do to earn cash for referring customers to Naked, is share a unique link from the Naked Insurance app via WhatsApp, social media, email, a QR code, a link on your website, or SMS. You can generate your unique referral link yourself when you want to and share it at any time. There is no need to provide your friends’ and family members’ telephone number or any other personal details with Naked.

Even if the person you referred purchases Naked’s home, contents or car insurance off a different quote at a later time, you will still earn your referral fee, as long as their first visit to the Naked app or website was via your unique referral link. “Naked doesn’t need to ask if anyone referred you. We can see if they did because everything is digital,” says North.

Although Naked’s referral rewards are also open to car dealers, brokers, social media influencers, clients, retailers, and anyone else who wants to earn some extra income – even people who aren’t Naked customers, the R1 million milestone refers only to fees paid to clients and does not include payments to business partners.
