Disaster avoided after a fire at a restaurant in the Norwood area of Johannesburg.

Thanks to community based relationships, collaboration and working as a force for good, disaster was prevented!

A call came into our Operations Control Center of reports of a fire that has started in a wellknown restaurant in the heart of the Norwood area of Johannesburg.

A response time of under 8 minutes to the scene was the difference between disaster and the result that was achieved.

The blaze was contained to one area of the restaurant, the area surrounding was made safe while the staff were safely evacuated.

This incident proved the true essence of the word collaboration – well done to all that responded to the scene.
