Annual Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba to take place on Wednesday 14 June 2023 and Thursday 15 June 2023

Kagiso Trust, in partnership with Food for Mzansi, is pleased to invite members of the media to the upcoming Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba to be held on 14 June 2023, from 09h00-17h00 at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.

The Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba is an annual event that brings together young farmers and agripreneurs across South Africa. It provides a platform for networking, access to financial institutions and investors, engagement with industry experts, and learning about the latest trends in the agricultural sector. The event aims to celebrate Youth month by supporting the next generation of young farmers and agripreneurs in their journey towards success.

The event will welcome attendees and speakers from various subsectors of the agriculture value chain, including farmers, creating a unique opportunity for organisations involved in the agricultural sector to showcase their commitment to supporting young farmers and agripreneurs. The Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza, will give the opening address.

The Indaba will conclude with the Recognition Awards which recognises exceptional mentors who have dedicated themselves to accelerating the growth and success of high-potential farmers. By acknowledging black excellence and promoting sector transformation, these awards play a crucial role in fostering partnerships that drive conversations around transformation.

We are proud to host the Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba alongside esteemed partners, including John Deere, Landbank, AGRI, Bayer, Santam, Nedbank, PepsiCo, and Corteva. Their collaboration and support contribute to this event’s success and the agricultural sector’s advancement.

“Kagiso Trust is committed to collaborative and strategic partnerships, and we believe that engaging with stakeholders involved in business development programs, coaching, and facilitation services are essential for achieving the intended outcomes of the event,” says Mankodi Moitse, CEO of Kagiso Trust.

“We look forward to welcoming you all to the 2023 Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba on Wednesday”.
