Suspect charged with the possession of suspected stolen property and driving under the influence

Following a tip-off about a suspect transporting diesel from Kagiso to Lenasia, Gauteng Traffic Wardens and SAPS intensified patrols along Impala Road in Doornkop where a vehicle matching the description provided was spotted and immediately stopped it for inspection.

Upon searching the vehicle, the driver was found transporting 12 x 25-litre containers of diesel. When questioned, the suspect failed to produce any proof of ownership for the diesel.

The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen property and driving under the influence.
