Two arrested and twelve cellphone tower batteries recovered

Police in Britstown has arrested two male suspects aged 31 and 36 in connection with possession of suspected stolen goods.

On Thursday night, 23 August 2018, Constables Meyer, Jansen, Francis and De Brain received information from MTN about the theft of cellphone tower batteries. The information was operationalised and patrols were immediately conducted along the N10 Road where the tower is located.

The bakkie was searched and 12 cellphone tower batteries were found. The driver and another man were then arrested.

The suspects will be appearing before the Britstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 August 2018.
