Indwe introduces Paw Paw Pet health Insurance

Johannesburg – Pets are an important part of the family, but what happens when they fall ill or get injured? How do you cover the unexpected and often costly veterinary expenses?

“Most of us have dogs or cats at home that our families adore,” explains Joe Szemerei, Executive head of marketing of Indwe Risk Services. “While they might be healthy today, you have no way of knowing what could happen in the future. We don’t want an expensive vet bill to be the reason a family has to make a heartbreaking decision when their pet is ill or injured. This is why Indwe is now offering PawPaw Pet Health Insurance to our clients.”

PawPaw Pet Health Insurance is underwritten by Renasa Insurance and provides cover for veterinary costs that domestic pets may incur due to illness or injury. The cover includes*:

  • Treatment for acute illness and injury, including consultation, medication, diagnostic investigations, surgery, pathology and radiography.
  • Chronic cover – with pre-authorisation and clinical treatment protocol.
  • Hereditary conditions cover – provided it is not pre-existing.
  • Supportive rehabilitation/post-surgery – subject to pre-approval and treatment protocols.

“We’re excited to launch this new product to our clients, as we believe it gives pet owners peace of mind that their furry family members will get the best care possible in the event of an illness or accident,” says Szemerei.
