Baby ‘SIBANISETHU’ is still doing well at a Durban hospital, says MEC Dhlomo

The “miracle baby” who was rescued from a storm water drain in Newlands East on Monday is doing well. This is according to KZN Health MEC Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, who has just received a briefing from management of the Durban hospital where the baby is being cared for. The little girl has been unofficially named ‘Sibanisethu’ (Our Light) by residents of the neighbourhood where she was found.
Once she is discharged she will be taken to a place of safety, under the auspices of the KZN Department of Social Development.
