Man and Dog mauled by Pitbull Bluff

A man in his twenties had sustained moderate injuries after he was attacked by a Pitbull which ran out from a property on Marine Drive in the Bluff on Thursday evening around 6pm.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man had sustained dob bites to his upper body. He was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required. Whilst on scene Paramedics were asked to assist with the Maltese Poodle called Lambo who was also attacked. Advanced Life Support Paramedic Ceron Meadows and Medic Rowan Scandroglio treated and dressed the dog.

The gentleman was walking his dog when a pitbull escaped from a yard and attacked him and his dog.

SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
