Quick response extinguishes thatched roof fire at Lapa in Bloemfontein
Emergency services responded to reports of a lapa on fire at a residential property in Langenhovenpark on Friday evening. On arrival, it was found that it was smoldering around the chimney of the built-in braai.
Firefighters got to work quickly, disassembling the thatch in the area of the fire and extinguishing remaining flames, limiting damage to a minimum.
No one sustained injuries during the fire.
