Are your communication devices rugged enough when you desperately need to make that call!

In an earlier post, we shared some of the challenges to emergency services having to communicate from remote areas under the title “Communication devices and access to communication for EMS personnel”

Earlier today we came across an Ad for some of these rugged devices and decided to approach the distributors with a Q&A to find more info:

  • What are the most important differences between the Rugged phone and other phones on the market?

The most important factor is that Rugged phones are military standard with IP68 rating. These phones are water/dust/ drop and shockproof and have been drop tested.

Are they designed for specific use in construction mining, farming and such sectors?

They are for all. It is a Rugged phone that is tougher than your normal smartphone but with the same operating systems. It is suitable for kids, outdoor people, sports fanatics, construction. We have a wide variety of phones available

Would they also be used effectively by people, such as the elderly, who do not wish to have higher-end tech and apps etc but wish to have something reliable to communicate?

We have a feature phone available for elderly people. It is a basic feature phone that allows the user to sms and phone. Big letters so they are easy to see and rings very loud

Do you find these devices also used by the adrenaline sports junkies and event organizers in mountain bike and trail running events?

W have partnered with Warrior race and a large sum of my clientele are outdoor people. We have rugged accessories with our phones specifically for people doing outdoor trails, mountain biking, endurance etC.
