Intensive manhunt launched after three bodies were found burned beyond recognition

POLOKWANE – The South African Police Service in Dennilton outside Groblersdal have launched a manhunt for an unknown suspect following the gruesome discovery of three bodies burned beyond recognition yesterday, 15 March 2020 at about 11:00, in the bush around Naganeng village.

The Police were allegedly informed by a passer-by and immediately attended to the scene jointly with the medical emergency services. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of three men aged between 20 and 31, burnt beyond recognition and a burned-out Hundayi truck next to them.
It is suspected that the deceased was severely assaulted before they were burned as there were several stones found around the scene.

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has strongly condemned this incident and has instructed the police to hunt down the killers and bring them to book.

Police are now investigating three counts of murder. The motive behind this brutal killing is still subject to police investigations but mob justice cannot be ruled out.
The deceased have been identified as follows:

* Owen Ncube aged 31
* Salos Sithole aged 23 and
* Lovemore Basera aged 20

Police are appealing to members of the community with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in this matter to urgently contact Warrant Officer Michael Seopela on 066 269 8337, the Crime stop number 0860010111 or the nearest police station.
Police investigations are still continuing.
