Mechanical failure blamed for collision in Phoenix – KZN

The driver of a VW Golf was hospitalized after his vehicle crashed through a boundary wall in Phoenix – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene to provide medical assistance for the injured driver. On arrival, Medics treated the driver for moderate injuries before transporting him to hospital by ambulance.

It was established that while travelling to work the driver experienced a mechanical fault on his vehicle which caused the car to suddenly veer across the road and crash through a boundary wall.

The vehicle was extensively damaged in the accident.
