Stolen vehicle recovered in Emona – KZN
A VW Golf Velocity that was stolen from Emona in Tongaat was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) through Tracker technology.
The complainant contacted the RUSA Tongaat Operations Center reporting the theft of his vehicle. The vehicle’s tracking device was activated. Reaction Officers honed in on the signal and recovered the vehicle abandoned in a sugar cane plantation. The ignition was damaged and the battery terminals were removed. The dashboard was also stripped.
The vehicle was handed back to the owner after he declined to register a criminal case.
