Suspects Attempt To Stab Victim During Robbery in Oakford, KZN

A man escaped with minor injuries after suspects attempted to stab him during a house robbery in Oakford, Verulam today (Sunday).

The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Verulam Operations Center received a call at approximately 17:03 regarding the home invasion. On arrival Reaction Officers were informed that two suspects accosted the victim in his yard. They produced knives and forced him back into the home.

While one suspect removed a 32″ television the second suspect made several attempts to stab the victim who blocked off the attack. Both suspects fled from the residence with the TV. A resident in the area pursued the suspects into a bush when they dropped the television and fled in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the attack.
