Crackdown on stolen vehicles continues
On Saturday, the 20th of June, a Mercedez Benz vehicle was stolen from the Westville area. The owner of the vehicle alerted Tracker Connect, who then contacted the Alpha Alarms operations unit. With the help of the SAPS Durban Flying Squad, the vehicle was tracked using Tracker Connect’s state-of-the-art tracking technology, which is linked to Alpha Alarms’ response vehicles as well as SAPS vehicles.
The vehicle was located and a chase ensued between uMlazi and the N2 freeway. The vehicle was intercepted on the N2 and two suspects were placed under arrest.
The recovered vehicle was taken to the SAPS vehicle safeguarding unit.
Well done to all on the successful recovery.
The owner of the vehicle has commended all parties involved, for their great teamwork.
