Six suspects arrested for possession of suspected stolen money and housebreaking implements.

The persistent efforts of police in Gauteng to fight crime yielded positive results when six suspects were arrested on 18 March 2022 at Tarlton.

The members of West Rand Flying Squad swiftly acted on intelligence-driven information about a suspicious Toyota Quantam with six occupants traveling from North West en-route to Krugersdorp on the R24 Road.

The alleged vehicle was spotted and immediately stopped and searched. During the search an undisclosed amount of money and house breaking implements were seized.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had committed a robbery in Lehutshe, North West.

All six suspects aged between 29 and 61 years are expected to appear before Court soon.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Girly Mbele commended the members’ swift response and hard work. She also thanked the community members who continue to work together with the police to fight crime through reporting any criminal activities and providing the police with positive tip-offs.
