Business robbery at a supermarket in the Tongaat Central Business District

No injuries were reported after robbers held up staff at a supermarket in the Tongaat Central Business District – KZN this afternoon (Thursday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the store at approximately 16:19 after receiving reports of the incident. On arrival, Reaction Officers were informed that two suspects entered the business and produced firearms. A third suspect remained outside the business and acted as a lookout. The robbers stole an undisclosed amount of cash and airtime before they fled on foot.

Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search however no arrests were made.
