Cyclist rescued after fall in the Giba Gorge area west of Durban.
Just after 09h00 this morning, Emer-G-Med paramedics together with, Netcare911, ER24 and MobiClaw911 responded to an alert for a cyclist who had fallen in the Giba Gorge area west of Durban.
The teams established that the patient was within the gorge trails and had sustained serious injuries.
A GPS location of the patient was sent and an elderly male, was located by paramedics who stabilized him on scene before he was loaded into a 4×4 vehicle and driven to an awaiting ambulance, under the care of an Emergency Care Practitioner, and transported through to hospital for further care.
