Fire at Albany Hotel in Durban Central
Multiple people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a well-known hotel caught on fire on Smith Street just before 10am on Saturday morning.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find the Ethekweni Fire Department busy fighting the blaze. A quick triage system was set up and multiple people were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene. Two people from the hotel were stabilized on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to the hospital for further treatment
At this stage the events leading up to the fire are unknown however SAPS together with the Ethekweni Fire Department were on the scene and will be investigating further.
