Housebreaking suspect arrested in Strandfontein

Western Cape: Police members attached to Strandfontein and Khayelitsha SAPS stopped two housebreakers in their tracks yesterday when they responded to a complaint where the suspects tried to break into a house in Strandfontein.

The suspects tried to break the front door open before fleeing the scene in a red VW just before police arrived, police spotted the vehicle and gave chase . The suspects were apprehended in Spine Road by Kayelitsha police.

Two suspects, aged 24 and 27 years, were arrested and appear in court today, facing charges of attempted housebreaking and theft.
