Toyota Cheetahs at Tswellang Special Intermediate School for Mandela Day

The Toyota Cheetahs visited the Tswellang Special Intermediate School for Mandela day on Thursday, 18 July 2019. Tswellang is a school for learners with disabilities. A large amount of the learners are in wheelchairs.

The program was opened with a word of welcome by the acting principle of the school, Verna Vorster and a prayer by Chaplain Rampape Isaac Moremoholo from SANDF.

Toyota Free State staff internally collected clothes and food which was handed over by the Toyota Free State Cheetahs prop, Luan de Bruin.

The learners were treated to a military drill the SANDF 1 SA Tank Regiment and a wheelchair rugby match by the Toyota Free State Cheetah players and the Mustang Wheelchair club.

The day wouldn’t be possible without wonderful partners like Loch Logan Waterfront (sponsorship of 50 large pizzas for the learners), Eimpa Paints (sponsorship of paint for the facilities), Cheetah Glass (sponsorship to repair all glass at the facility) and Fresh Mark (fruit and vegetables).

“What counts if life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela
