Suspects arrested for housebreaking and theft in Barkley East
In our concerted efforts to fight crime, members of the Elliot K9 Unit and Barkly East Detective Unit conduct a joint operation after a series of Housebreaking cases were reported at the station.
An intelligence-driven operation was successfully conducted and led to arrest of two notorious suspects aged between 18 and 29 after the premises was searched and stolen items were recovered including 8 cellphones and flat-screen TV.
The suspects are detained at Barkly East holding cells awaiting their first appearance in court.
The Elliot Cluster Commander, Colonel Matshediso Gezani commended the quick reaction by a joint operation and the recovery of stolen items. She also thanked the community for working together with the SAPS in the fight against crime.
