The UFS recognises and appreciates our graduands’ questions relating to the postponement of the 2020 graduation ceremonies scheduled for the Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa Campuses.
Until when are the ceremonies postponed?
At present, we cannot confirm a date. We are still hoping to host the graduation ceremonies in 2020 and will continue to evaluate the decision in the light of global and national developments related to COVID-19. Updates on the graduation ceremonies will be available via our official communication channels, as well as at www.ufs.ac.za/coronavirus
Can my certificate be posted?
Certificates cannot be issued prior to conferral. Graduands will, however, be able to obtain their academic record together with a confirmation letter (confirming that their qualification has been obtained).
Graduating is a remarkable achievement and reflects the efforts of our graduands and the time they spent at the university. We do, however, ask for patience and will keep our graduands updated as and when further information becomes available.
