Suspects arrested trying to break into a substation in the Sidwell area

There’s no hiding from us! We commend our team on the arrest of two criminals within two days of each other targeting a local substation. While on shift, in the Sidwell area on Monday, our response officer was on patrol when the local neighbourhood watch flagged him down and asked for assistance with a suspect that was caught trying to break into a substation on the corner of Cadle and Haupt street.

Our officer immediately jumped into action, assisted, and got the upper hand on the suspect. The SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was handed over. On Tuesday, our officer was once again on patrol in the Sidwell area when he spotted another male trying to break into the exact same substation.

Quick reaction resulted in the arrest of the second suspect. He was handed over to the SAPS and taken to the Algoa Park police station.
