IPSS Search and Rescue – To Rescue and reunite families

What started out as a passion project many years ago to service our community has grown into a registered NPO with over 40 volunteers in 2023.

This has been an incredible journey, filled with both the happiness of reuniting families and the devastation left behind with the only hope to bring closure to families.

None of this would have been possible with the incredible people and businesses that make this possible:
Killarney Toyota Stanger – sponsoring a Toyora Landcruiser, providing our teams with a vehicle to tackle the often tough terrain encountered

PACSys – always willing to send a pilot and drone, thermal imaging has proved instrumental in finding many missing children in 2023

Seaton – sponsoring of wetsuits for aquatic teams, often long wet hours in the search of victims in the water is impossible without the right gear

Buckenham 4×4 – for kitting out a new landcruiser to allow all gear to be safely packed and stored

TOTAL UMHALI – providing IPSS S&R with a home and fueling of vehicles

Sables creatures – an incredible organistion themselves, have sponsored crates to safely transport animals of all types of snack packs for our Christmas drive and assistance when trapping terrified, lost pets

Life & Style 88FM – for the advice and getting on board with our projects and worthy causes

Badul Air – always ready to get in the air with his helicopter to provide support to our teams on the ground

Al-Imdaad Foundation – for having the same vision of quickr response Rescue teams, for funding missions to Libya and Ladysmith. For your support and and commitment to giving back to the communities in need.

The Tax Company – for taking care of our books, ensuring IPSS S&R compliance with all legal aspects of operating an NPO

Chery Ballito – for sponsoring our first vehicle this year, we thank you for the support and we look forward to
building our relationship in the year to come

To our volunteers, for always being willing to give of your time, to serve our community and those in need. These are the people who, at short notice, even on Christmas day, will be ready to assist families, whole communities, and animals in any way possible. These are the absolute heroes of IPSS S&R, who, no matter what, are willing to serve, without complaint at any time of the day or night.

To all the SAPS Search & Rescue units, Durban Metro Search & Rescue, Fire Departments and all private services we have had the privilege of working alongside. Thank you for all you do, we wish you all the best on the missions to come and stay safe.

IPSS Search & Rescue is a fully registered NPO. For those wanting to donate to our cause, any amount is greatly appreciated as we continue to serve.
