Structural fire at a house in Ontdekkers Park

Our team was contacted regarding a structural fire at a house in Ontdekkers Park.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that the garage was fully engulfed. Our team and the City of Johannesburg EMS on the scene managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread to the rest of the house.

Initial reports received were that someone was still in the house, after a thorough inspection, it was discovered that the house was empty and the person was luckily not in the house when the fire started.

Inspections were conducted to ensure the rest of the house’s roof was not compromised.

Thankfully, no injuries or loss of life can be reported. Netcare911 ensured that all who acted initially from the neighbourhood were in good health.

Thank you to all who assisted on the scene and those who alerted us immediately when it was discovered as that ensured that the damages were only confined to the garage and out room.
